Nigel grew up in Mount Maunganui and Tauranga before spreading his wings.
Nigel has had a safe and successful 30-year career as an international airline pilot, having flown for Air New Zealand, United Nations, Air Mauritius, Emirates and Korean Air.
Along with his wife Deborah, they have visited and lived in almost every corner of the globe but nothing compares to life living on Eagle Ridge. They have three fantastic kids that make him the happiest Dad and at other times make him feel like he's lost his mind!
Nigel truly believes that they didn't choose Eagle Ridge but with patience and time, Eagle Ridge chose them.
Eagle Ridge is Nigel's passion and he believes the best is yet to come.
Oh, by the way, he still hasn't found the coin!
Deborah grew up in the sunny Hawkes Bay, but her family travelled to the Mount every year for holidays to stay at her Grandad's beach house. Deborah caught her first snapper off Salisbury Wharf. To this day she still uses her same fishing rod - “The lucky rod”. Deborah is extremely competitive and as long as she catches more fish than Nigel she is happy!
Before Eagle Ridge took over their lives, Deborah worked as a Dental Therapist.
Married to Nigel, they have three fantastic children - Tane, Maia and Leila. They also have a dog named Kai and Bailey the cat.
Deborah makes our famous Eagle Ridge carrot cake, and serves it by the slab as opposed to piece! Deborah is also known to be very partial to a glass of chardonnay and in her spare time she likes to escape up North on their boat.
Briana joined the team at Eagle Ridge (then Bella Vista) in July 2016.
Prior to joining us Briana spent four and a half years as the Event Co-Ordinator at Baypark after moving back to Tauranga, where she was born and bred. Briana’s career has also seen her hold event based roles with the Rugby World Cup 2011, Raggamuffin Music Festival, Waikato Chamber of Commerce, Tauranga City Council and Youthline to name a few. Briana has a real passion for events and after marrying her partner Anthony at Eagle Ridge in April 2017 she can now relate to our couples even more so, and draw on her own experiences as a Bride-to-be. In Briana’s spare time she likes to shop, shop and shop!
Briana is on maternity leave from October 2018 for 12 months.
Kirsten joined our team in September 2018 to replace Briana while she is away on maternity leave. Kirsten joins the team with vast experience in event & corporate management, with a strong marketing & public relations background. Following the move from South Africa with her Husband, Marc, ten years ago Kirsten has been based in Whangarei, working in management at NorthTec. While up North they added two children, Wyatt (5) and Tammy-Lynn (3) to their family. The James family have relocated to Tauranga for a lifestyle change and are looking forward to immersing themselves in the local community.
In Kirsten's spare time she enjoys the outdoors, fun in the sun with her family and a glass of wine!
Nicole joined the Eagle Ridge team in July 2017 after relocating to Tauranga with her husband and two children.
She has had a long career in hospitality, in both operations and administration within New Zealand and the UK, including a senior role in Human Resources for a large central London 5* hotel and banqueting venue.
Nicole is passionate about ensuring that all events run smoothly and that every guest of Eagle Ridge has a fantastic experience.
In her spare time Nicole enjoys entertaining family and friends, tending to her garden and baking!
